Yesterday, it actually turned out to be a sunny day at Indian Wells Tennis Garden. But from 3:30 p.m. on the temperature dropped, and a warm jacket was a good item to have in the bag.
Andy Murray, pictured above, practiced and signed some autographs afterward.
The top 32 seeded players have a later start here because they have a bye here. This means they can practice and prepare a bit longer than the non-seeds. Usually after match day you have a day off. It is a bit like at the Grand Slams.
Ana Ivanovic was practicing early in the morning again.
Jack Sock lost to the serving monster Ivo Karlovic in three sets. He had two match points in the tie break but unfortunately couldn’t convert.
Roger Federer was practicing again in front of a full house.
Sorana Cirstea had lots of Romanian support during her match against Anabel Medina-Garrigues. She won in three sets.
And then not to forget it was International women’s day yesterday.
adidas had prepared something really nice for the girls. The players got a little necklace as a present. Most of them tweeted something about it as well. You can find it on Twitter through @adidaswomen and #mygirls (that is also the writing on the necklace).
Here some pictures:

And as a funny one Fernando Verdasco jumped in to wish all the women a happy international women’s day, too.
Hope you had a little laugh. Enjoy the day at the tennis.
