Yesterday, it actually turned out to be a sunny day at Indian Wells Tennis Garden. But from 3:30 p.m. on the temperature dropped, and a warm jacket was a good item to have in the bag.

The top 32 seeded players have a later start here because they have a bye here. This means they can practice and prepare a bit longer than the non-seeds. Usually after match day you have a day off. It is a bit like at the Grand Slams.

Ana Ivanovic was practicing early in the morning again.

Maria Kirilenko did warm up on Center Court for her match against Christina McHale that started at 11 a.m. Maria won in close three sets.

Sorana Cirstea had lots of Romanian support during her match against Anabel Medina-Garrigues. She won in three sets.

And then not to forget it was International women’s day yesterday.

adidas had prepared something really nice for the girls. The players got a little necklace as a present. Most of them tweeted something about it as well. You can find it on Twitter through @adidaswomen and #mygirls (that is also the  writing on the necklace).

Hope you had a little laugh. Enjoy the day at the tennis.
