In a tennis world full of bright colors and patterns, the best way to stand out from the crowd is to wear white. Yes, white. Just think, have you ever worn all white to a tennis match only to have someone say, “Are you ready to play Wimbledon?” Well, in honor of the 2011 Championships at Wimbledon, which is taking place right now, I picked out some of my favorite all white outfits.
I will start with the ladies first. My three favorite dresses out on the grass have to be the Nike Fall Maria Lawn dress, Nike Fall Set Point Knit dress and the adidas Fall adiZero Feather dress.
Another of my favorites is the Nike Fall Set Point Knit Dress, which can currently be seen on Victoria Azarenka. It is simple and understated, yet is flattering in all the right places. The empire waist and halter-inspired neckline give this dress extra oomph.
Lastly, the adidas Fall adiZero dress has a bold design for a white dress. Featuring a tonal design on the bodice, shiny fabric insets, and pleating on the front, the dress comes with matching compression shorts and sports bra. This dress can be seen on tennis pros Ana Ivanovic and Daniela Hantuchova at Wimbledon.
If dresses are not your thing, here are two top and skort combos. First, try the classic look of Julia Goerges in the Nike Fall Smash Classic SS top and Smash Pleated Skort. With navy piping on the neckline and waistline, this outfit is ready for any country club tennis match.
If more bold contrast colors is your thing, look no further than Maria Kirilenko’s outfit. She sports the adidas Fall Barricade top and skort with bright blue and pink contrast binding on the top and pink logos on both pieces.
Check back in a couple days for my top picks on the men’s side.
