Tonight Maria Sharapova is scheduled to be the first night match on Arthur Ashe Stadium (7 p.m. Eastern). We expect to see her step out in a special night dress ensemble to take on Lourdes Dominguez Lino of Spain. Before we catch glimpse of that one, let’s take a quick look at what she wore during her daytime first round match.

Let’s start with her racquet. To crush those forehands, Maria swings her Head YOUTEK IG Instinct. Our testers loved this racquet for its combination of power and spin. At about 11 ounces strung, this is an easy racquet for intermediate players to use, and it also leaves plenty of room for big hitters to modify it to suit their games.

Moving onto that pink dress! The Maria Back Court Day Dress suits her tall, slender frame so well. The pink and brown combo is very feminine as well as modern, and the mesh overlays on the bodice add some dimension and definition.

To accessorize, she pulled on her signature Nike Featherlight visor, this time in a coordinating Ridgerock color. On her feet, she’s wearing the Lunar Speed 3 shoes in White/Liquid Pink/Ridgerock and some Nike low-cut socks. These shoes are super lightweight and built for speed.

Remember to tune in tonight to check out her night outfit and to cheer her in her second round match. Go, Maria!

Happy Hitting!
