Five Things I Love this Week!

You can tell the next grand slam is approaching very soon as our warehouse has been over flowing with fun, new items! So I wanted to take a few minutes to share with you guys my 5 favorite items from TW this week!

5 favorites this week at Tennis Warehouse

5. New Balance 996 — Shades of Blue New York Skyline Colorway

W996GSU-1Props to New Balance for coming out with this fun brand new colorway just in time for Flushing Meadows! New Balance plans on bringing a fresh color update to their 996 line for all of the Grand Slams starting with the US Open (so stay tuned for some awesome new looks on the 996). This color way was inspired by the New York skyline and the #7 train — the one that takes you from Grand Central Station right to Flushing Meadows! This durable shoe comes with a one year durability guarantee and offers a stable, yet speedy ride in a lightweight package.

4. Under Armour Fall Sonic Print Top

UAWFSPT-BL-1

As I’ve mentioned before in many of my other blogs, I gravitate toward clothes that I can wear on the court and also in the gym. This shirt is has a fresh look, a different pattern, is lightweight and handles sweat well — so I’m never worried about it hindering my performance. I’m really excited that we are seeing ┬ánew Under Armour trickle into the Warehouse! In seasons past, we haven’t carried as much from Under Armour and I am loving the cross-over training items that work perfectly to go from tennis to the gym and back!

3. Nike Basic Power Short

NWBPSH-BK-1This isn’t a new item, but I’ve been wearing mine a lot lately with my crossfit workouts, so I figured I would share them with you. These shorts work really well for all kinds of activities! Of course, they have the super cute fold over band saying “Love Tennis” so any die-hard like me will appreciate that. The built in compression shorts are perfect for on court or crazy movements you may be doing in the gym (hence, why I wear them for crossfit — burpees into thrusuters? YES, these shorts are ideal!). Plus, simple black or white can be paired with just about anything — you can’t go wrong here, oh and at $20, this one is a no-brainer!

2. Volkl Team Backpack in Pink/Black

Some girls love anything in pink…I am not one of them. However, the second I saw this VTHP13BP-1colorway from Volkl in a backpack, I knew I NEEDED this in my life. I’m a big backpack person as I take a backpack to work every day and often travel with one too (it became habit living the life of a college coach, you always have a backpack close by your side!), so I have no problems adding a new backpack to my collection! Love that the black on this bag is matte and shiny and the pink is a bold florescent almost day-glo pink. It almost makes me want to switch to the Volkl V-1 Pro just so my racquet matches my backpack!

1. Lucky in Love Aztec Scallop Skort

LILWASS-PR-1Maybe it’s the fact that I spent 7 years living in the Southwest, but I absolutely ADORE the pattern in this Aztec collection from Lucky in Love! My favorite piece is this skort. The second I saw it come in, I was instantly drawn to it. I love how it looks different than anything else out there in the tennis world, but still is completely functional. It features built-in compression shorts (which are a must for me), colorblocking at the waist and a mesh under the skort to keep you cool. Love this skort and the other options in this collection (be sure to check out the Aztec Jersey Tank as well)!

That’s it for this week, check back next week to see what new things we have at Tennis Warehouse!

Play with Heart,

Michelle
