Does anyone else remember the ’80s TV series “Moonlighting” that starred Bruce Willis and Cybill Shepherd? Tail’s latest apparel collection carries the same name and coincidentally could be what Maddie Hayes (Cybill Shepherd’s character) might wear today if she were playing tennis. For those who don’t recall, Maddie Hayes was a fashion model turned PI agency owner (in true ’80s TV style, that’s the oversimplified version).
While we may not have Bruce Willis there for some witty repartee as our mixed doubles partner, we can still have some fun with on-court fashion. If you favor the bolder fashion looks, don the python print pieces. There is a sheen to the python-like “skin” on the fabric. It’s comfy on the inside, though, so you won’t have to give up function for fashion with either the Fierce Jacket or Lure Skort. Layer the Moonlighting Play Tank beneath that jacket, and you’ve got a stranglehold on your opponent on the fashion front.
Tail’s Moonlighting collection’s multiple silhouettes provide a lot of options as well. For those who prefer a more conservative look, the Engage Top is a cute full coverage option that has a great pop of yellow at the neckline. The Aspiration Tank also has a full coverage back and no built-in bra but a sleeveless style. Skirts are harder and harder to find these days, but with the Vivacious Skirt you can choose your own compression short or Fancy Pants to wear underneath. And with a 15 inch length in a size small, this skirt offers added coverage, too.
As your own fashion director, you make the call so check out the entire Moonlighting Group to see what fits your style.
