Just because Breast Cancer Awareness is only campaigned during the month of October, doesn’t mean you can’t wear Pink Ribbon clothes for the rest of the year to show your support! To kick off my favorite Breast Cancer Awareness outfit I chose the Under Armour Power in Pink Fighter Long-Sleeve. Especially since the weather is starting to cool down, I find myself wearing these comfy long-sleeve crews quite often. They’re perfect for chilly weather workouts. They keep your arms covered from the cold air and they’re not quite as heavy as sweatshirts so you can still move well. With this top in particular, I love the colorblocking raglan sleeves for a little extra style. The Nike Winter Racer Long Sleeve Top and tasc Fall 5K Long Sleeve Top are some notable ones with fun colorblocking to check out as well.
When Michelle kicked off our Breast Cancer Awareness series, she said there’s a good chance you know someone who has fought breast cancer. In my case, it’s a college friend. Though not a tennis player, she leads an active, outdoor lifestyle. She is in her 30s. I knew that breast cancer didn’t just wait until you hit XX age, but I didn’t know. She fought and is a survivor. Her spirit is so inspiring.
In honor of Breast Cancer Awareness month, we have chosen some of our favorite times from our Shop Pink page, which features apparel and gear that supports the cause by donating some proceeds to cancer research. Michelle posted her look last week, but now it’s my turn.
For my look, I went with pieces that work for on- and off-court training. First I chose the New Balance Hope Courage Love Tee. I love a good tech tee, and I love ombre. The message is inspirational. Awesome! Plus, New Balance has been a Susan G. Komen Foundation partner for 25 years and will donate a minimum of $500,000 this year to the cause. I love to mix-and-match, and our weather promises to cool off soon (got our first rain of the season finally!) so I went with the adidas Pink Ribbon Tight on the bottom. This three-quarter tight is great for cool days on court, and I can easily wear it for running or gym workouts. adidas donates 10% of profits to the National Breast Cancer Foundation.
We all chose the Prince T22 in pink and white because this specific color is to raise awareness. Prince teamed up with Bright Pink and will donate some profits to this nonprofit group. When it comes to performance, the T22 is among the best out there. It’s a great fit for my wider foot and offers loads of comfort and durability. It’s pretty much has everything a girl could want!
Stay tuned for the other TW Stylists to chime in with their Shop Pink outfits.
In honor of Breast Cancer Awareness month, all of the TW Stylists have chosen some of their favorite items from our Shop Pink section that feature apparel that support the cause (be on the lookout for more looks to come). We are loving the fun, pink styles from New Balance, adidas, Prince, Wilson and Under Armour that all benefit finding a cure and preventing breast cancer!
Here’s my look — I started with these super fun shorts from adidas, the Pink Ribbon Short. I saw these the day they first came in and loved them — then I found out that part of the proceeds go toward All Fight, the organization that adidas has paired up with this month to make sure funds go toward finding a cure. These lightweight shorts are perfect for me because I can wear them on the court, in the gym, on a hike, or just because! I paired the shorts with this sassy, fun tee from New Balance. This Don’t Get Busted tee adds a bit of lightheartedness when dealing with a serious subject and is 95% polyester which makes it a great moisture wicking tee for any activity and it’s a great price for a tee that goes toward a cause!
