After 2 full days of driving up to Saskatoon, we arrived at the tournament sign-in. It doesn’t seem like a year has gone by since I was here last. It definitely made the travel much easier with someone else driving!
I got a practice in with a friend of mine from Winnipeg, and right when we finished it began to start pouring. I watched the process of the draw being made using numbered poker chips. You can never expect easy matches at these things, and I definitely have a challenge to win 2 matches to qualify. I’ve never seen my opponents play but from what you can see on paper, it will be tough.
I am playing pretty well and know that if I can perform my best I’ll be right there with anyone. I’m well rested, but almost have had too much down time. Today was supposed to be the first round matches, but it rained all day and no tennis was played. I just have a couple minor injuries but I should be fine. I’m third match on Sunday, and I will update soon again!
