We’ve just introduced Roxy apparel to our women’s line-up. When I think of Roxy, I think, “Surf’s up!” Lucky for us Roxy is branching out beyond the beach and is offering up fun designs for tennis players. Under Roxy Athletix, there’s a full range of moisture-wicking performance-minded pieces that keep the Roxy design vibe alive.
Let’s take a look at a few of the pieces. Women with long torsos should be happy with the tops. The torso length reminds me of the long-skinny ribbed tanks sold at Gap and the like. My favorite of the bunch is Team Racerback Tank, which is a made of a mesh material and has a built-in shelf bra. I think fans of Nike’s Dedication Tank will also like this one. If tank tops aren’t your thing, the Team Cap-Sleeve Jersey offers more coverage but is far from dowdy. The cap sleeves are just the right length and the seaming gives the top a really feminine shape.
To some this might sound silly, but women who struggle to keep their hair out of their eyes might agree with me here. I am finding it hard to contain my excitement over the Roxy Train Hard Headband. I know, I know. A headband?! I pull my hair back in a pony tail these days and have to deal with the whispy flyaways or layers that aren’t long enough to stay put in the pony tail band. I have yet to give this one a try, but the Train Hard Headband looks promising. Often this style of headband flies off my head as soon as I start running around. I am going to give this Roxy one a try for two reasons. One: It is wider than most so I hope it grips better. Two: There’s a tacky lining, which, again, I hope improves the stay-put factor. Biggest debate now is which color to get.
