Quick review: Babolat Propulse 4 Pink Women’s Shoes

Being the newest playtester on board at Tennis Warehouse, I was excited to get started trying new equipment and gear!  Having worn strictly Nike for the past three years, educating myself and expanding my knowledge in new products that I’ve been admiring from afar has quickly become one of my favorite things. The very first product I was given to playtest was the Babolat Propulse 4 Pink Women’s Shoe, so here’s my quick review!

Women's Babolat Propulse 4

Since Babolat is my racquet of choice, and red and black just so happen to be my signature colors, I couldn’t wait to get these shoes on my feet.  Right of the box, the aesthetics of these shoes drew me in.  Babolat calls this color “diva pink,” but I hate to break it to you, these are more of a cherry red than anything.  With the velcro on top to ensure a good fit and the Michelin outsole, I was sure these would be a great option for me.

The fit was perfect, true to size and snug to my feet.  To be completely honest, there was a slight break-in period as it took a day on the courts to get comfortable wearing these updated Propulses.  The first hit with them on, the shoes felt a bit “chunky” and high off the ground making my movement slightly unsure (which could be to blame from using the same shoe for the past few years).  That all disappeared though when I put them on for the second time.  Worried these might not be as great as I initially thought, once I trusted my feet in these shoes, comfort came instantaneously.  With Babolat’s new Side 2 Side midsole technology, I felt a bit of a power boost with every step. And because this shoe offers a comfortable, snug fit due to its seamless construction, there was no issue with my foot sliding around inside.  Being a little on the heavier side, these shoes have proven to be super durable and Babolat even offers a six month outsole durability guarantee if you can wear them out.

The Babolat Propulse 4 Women’s shoe is a great option for any player looking for a durable shoe that isn’t going to wear out fast on you compared to some other options currently out there.  These have the technology to help add a bit of a boost to your steps on the court and are sturdy and stable combined with a sharp look, I’m all in!

Play with heart,

Michelle
