If you know me, you’ll know that I am not necessarily the most organized person. When it comes to school, work or actually playing tennis, I have everything down to a T, but it’s like I use up all my organization on those things and have nothing left over for the rest of my life. The way to combat this is to find things that aid in organization and convenience — with the added extra of looking cool to encourage me to use them.
With this in mind, we can address my problem. I don’t have a bag that I can use to put all my work out stuff in. Like I said, I’m disorganized so what usually happens is I balance everything in my arms: drink bottle, sweatshirt, towel, change of clothes, you name it, and I will be awkwardly carrying it. I sometimes also just dump it in my tennis bag and take all of it with me, regardless of whether I need it or not, which I only do for lack of having something better. Well, my friends, I have found us something better! I’m a sucker for a cool and functional duffle bag and with the Defender Duffle Bag, adidas gives us cool and functional.
It comes in two sizes, small and medium, depending on how much space you need, although my favorite is the small. The main compartment has plenty of space for gear, clothes, a pair of shoes, basically anything you want to stuff in there. Inside it has a little zippered pocket for valuables (makes it easy to find your cellphone instead of tossing it in with the rest of your things). It has two end pockets, one with a mesh entry to give wet towels or sweaty gear a little bit of an air out. For convenience it has middle grab handles and, for when you want to look cool and just sling it over your shoulder, a trusty adjustable shoulder strap.
I love it. I bought a very similar one for my mom a long time ago, and she used it so much it wore through. Like I said, it’s not just about organization, although the Defender Duffle Bag really helps with that by giving me a place to put all my gear and keep it manageable. It’s the convenience that is key here, because there’s something about a little gym or gear bag that really hits the spot by making going to and from training that much easier. It provides a place to keep all my stuff together in a small, party sized package — I just toss it all in there and I’m ready to go!
How does it look? Sharp. The small adidas Defender Duffle comes in three colors, black, navy and pink, with the medium in black, grey and red. My favorite is the black — it’s just a slick looking little bag. All of them have a white printed adidas logo on the side. Can’t tell you why, but I love that feature. So if you’re like me and always have armfuls of gear with no place to put it all, then treat yourself to this duffle bag with the justifications of organization and convenience. It’s about time we made our lives easier.
