Great tennis awaiting us tonight!

Yesterday Na Li swept Maria Sharapova off the court with an outstanding performance showing all her qualities! She kept her composure at any time even when being down Love-40.

Alex Stober, her physio and physical trainer, told me that he believes that Carlos Rodriguez has had a big impact on Na Li’s development over the last couple of months leading up to Melbourne.

Victoria Azarenka beat Sloane Stephens, but the press has been very negative with what Victoria has done during the second set.

She was up 6-1, 5-3 serving for the match having points and got broken.

During changeover de called for a medical timeout getting treatment because of breathing problems.

The press has been insinuating that the break was only taken because of anxiety and nervousness.

The tournament though apparently has  spoken to the doctor who treated her and has confirmed that Azarenka really received treatment when she left the court.

The rule for a medical timeout before the opponent serves after the changeover will now be looked at.

Sloane Stephens has said in the post match press conference that the medical timeout of Azarenka did not bother her.

Unknown-3 Anyway let’s look ahead and hope for a great women’s final on Saturday! Will Azarenka defend her crown or will Chinese tennis star Na Li take the title!?

Na Li had an 11am easy gym session at we hotel and will have a practice with her husband (and hitting partner) and coach at 6pm.

The juniors semifinals are on today and there are two Australian players in the draw. One already made it to the finals tomorrow. So there is hope for the Australian Grand Slam nation to hopefully have several successful players in the near future and maybe even a Grand Slam contender!

Let’s see how it will go tonight!

Another match I am very much looking forward to!
