Fourth of July tennis fashion!

Posted on July 3, 2013 in Bags Miscellaneous Shoes and Apparel

What better way to celebrate Independence Day than putting together some patriotic tennis outfits?! Our TW Fashionistas (Brittany, Karly and I) took to the warehouse to come up with 3 stylish outfits that scream U-S-A! Take a look at what we have for you for to help get you in the American spirit!

Brittany’s 4th of July look:britt

Here’s what Brittany had to say about her stylish 4th of July outfit, “What’s more patriotic than wearing red, white and blue? Wearing red, white and blue on the tennis court, of course! For my outfit, I decided to pick mostly red and white apparel then threw in a pop of blue with the shoes in order to not look too much like an American flag. On top, I picked the super comfortable tasc Spring X-Back Cami. This flattering tank has super cute, contrast X-back straps as well as an A-line silhouette for a flattering fit. Not to mention the UPF 50+ protection that it has.

4th of july fashionOn the bottom, I selected the Lacoste Spring Pleated Skort for a classic look that never goes out of style. This skort has a ton of features like the mesh yoke at the waist for ventilation, a small zippered pocket and a contrast stripe around the waist. Since it is summer, it can get a little hot out on the court. The perfect way to stop the sweat from getting into your eyes while still looking fashionable is to wear the Nike Swoosh Headband in red, which I paired nicely with this outfit. While the headband may be perceived as retro to some, I think it never goes out of style (and still remains highly functional). To complete my look, I picked the Nike Air Max Cage TS in royal blue/white. This super durable and stable shoe is perfect for any player seeking a high performance shoe and is the ideal shoe to complete my red, white and blue look.”

Michelle’s 4th of July look:mich

Fourth of July is here! Which means summer, BBQing with friends and fireworks to celebrate the USA! It also means that you can rock some red, white and blue on the court and show off your patriotism for American tennis! When choosing my patriotic outfit, I found the perfect tee and built the outfit around that. LoveAll has some really cute novelty t-shirts right now that are fun and playful and they just happen to have the perfect tee for the 4th of July with the LoveAll Tennis USA Tee. This fun, lightweight tee is perfect to wear for your 4th of July round of tennis, or you could even rock it off the court with casual wear (jeans, jean skirt, shorts) later for fireworks and festivities! From there I needed a fun, flirty skirt to pair it with and went with the Fila Essenza Rally Skort in navy.

Although it is summer, I hate being caught without a jacket as I often get cold once I get off the court or find when the temp gets hot outside, it can be cold inside, so I grabbed the Nike Women’s Team Full Zip Hoodie in red, one of my absolute favorites from Nike because it is versatile and can go with almost any outfit, any time of the year. Lastly I was looking for some patriotic shoes! I always enjoy matching my shoes with my outfits and luckily adidas is feeling patriotic this year with some of its new colorways! I paired this outfit with the adidas adizero CC Tempaia II shoes in the white/red colorway (and if you want an even bolder look, check out the adidas adizero Tempaia IIs!). I hope everyone has a fun and safe 4th of July and gets time on the court during this holiday week!

Karly’s 4th of July look:karly

As you can see, Karly’s outfit screams patriotism, here’s what she had to say about her picks” “Oh say, can you seeeeee…See an adorable outfit that is! For this patriotic edition, I put together a Fourth of July outfit that will make you want to sing (and swing) with pride! I picked the cute Jerdog Flamingo Resort Racer Tank for the subtle colorblocking stripe on the front. Along with the ruching on the straps, that stripe adds just enough color pop to turn this stylish silhouette into an essential top to own. To tie the patriotic outfit together, I chose the modern Cayman Side Slit Skort by Jofit because of its classic design — this sleek skort is one of those pieces that you can pair anything with to create a fashionable outfit. When deciding which shoes to pick out, choosing the Nike Vapor Tour 9 was a no-brainer. With its outstanding performance and modern design, it’s no wonder the Nike Vapor Tour 9’s are Maria’s shoe of choice and now this shoe is available in a white colorway, so it goes great with every outfit.

4th of julyFor the accessory piece, it’s safe to say you’ll more than get your money’s worth with the Maggie Mather Tennis Tote. Just because it’s called a tennis bag doesn’t mean you have to use it solely for tennis — this is also the perfect bag to take to the pool, grocery store or wherever you go for the day. The only downside to this bag is all the different color options. It’s so hard to choose which one to buy! Lastly, to put the icing on this patriotic cake, there’s the Nike Sport Hairbands 6-Pack. This package includes six different red, white and blue hairbands to mix ‘n match to make the perfect outfit for Fourth of July festivities.”

Hope everyone has a safe and fun 4th of July! Thanks for checking out this edition of Fashion from your TW Stylists!

Play with heart,
