Babolat Roland Garros Gear

Ciao!

The competition is heating up in Rome today at the Internazionali BNL d’Italia and the countdown is on to Roland Garros! I wanted to tell you about all of the Babolat French Open equipment that we have in here at Tennis Warehouse that will get you ready to go for the French.

This year, Babolat decided to give their ever so popular, (and my personal favorite) Pure Drive Racquet the special Roland Garros paint job. I may be biased, as my love for the Pure Drive series is no secret, but I am enjoying this color update to this frame. It isn’t too loud but rather has some accents of the colors of the French flag with Roland Garros written on the throat of this frame. Included in this color update is the Pure Drive Lite and Pure Drive Junior Racquet.

Babolat Roland Garros Equipment

Babalot has updated their Roland Garros line of bags by adding a clean, fresh look for 2013.  This series is complete with a 12 Pack bag, 6 Pack bag, and a backpack and feature the special clay court colors and the classic Roland Garros logo in a professional looking bag. All three bags bring the classic Babolat characteristics providing ample storage and classic colors.

Let’s talk strings. Babolat has packaged the XCel 16 and 17 gauge string as their Roland Garros string for this year. It will offer you excellent comfort, tension maintenance and solid durability. This string plays very soft and feels a bit like natural gut. This is one of the better multifilament strings available and you can definitely take advantage of using it on any surface, not just on the red clay!

Babolat also has a couple new dampeners (Custom Damp, Custom Damp II, Looney Damp) as well as a newly packaged VS Overgrip, overgrip of choice by French Open Champion, Rafael Nadal. This is one of the thinnest overgrips available and will be comfortable, soft and durable.

Lastly are the Babolat French Open All Court Tennis Balls that come in cases of 24 cans. These balls are ITF approved and are regular duty balls, so they are good for all types of surfaces (not just clay) and they come with the Roland Garros logo on the ball.

Play with heart,

Michelle
