Tennis socks for every budget!

Tennis Socks: Save vs Splurge

A tennis player can never have too many …socks! And as Jason mentioned in his latest blog, what’s better than putting on a brand new pair of socks? One of our TW playtesters’ favorite socks and one of the best bang for your buck bargains is the TW Fitsock Retro Stripe Crew Sock. Available in both black and white, our playtesters found this sock to have the perfect thickness as well as the good grip inside the shoe.  And with a price of $4 a pair, you can’t beat it! These days, socks have become more of a fashion statement and with this splurge, you are definitely making one.  The Lacoste Men’s Crew Sport Sock is available in two colorways and features the Signature Croc on the cuff. This classic sock not only looks good but feels good with its reinforced toe and heel as well as high stretch.

Tennis hats for any budget!

Tennis Hats: Save vs Splurge

Now that spring is in the air and the sun is shining, it is time to hit the outdoor tennis courts. A must for many players when playing outside is some sort of hat/visor so this week I choose hats for my blog.  For my save, I choose the all back Solfire Trucker Hat at $18.  This hat features a mesh back with a Velcro back and tonal Solfire logo. For my splurge, I had to go with the classic Lacoste Trucker Hat. The oversized signature croc logo is the main focus of the hat but it also features a Velcro closure and a pre-curved bill. Both hats are high performance but also perfect for off court use as well.

Tennis shoes for any budget!

Men's Tennis Shoes: Save vs Splurge

For this week’s installment of Save vs Spurge I take a look at some of the best shoes to wear on the court for any tennis player’s wallet. For those who don’t want to break the bank, the adidas Bercuda 3 would be the perfect fit coming in at $49.95.  With its stylish looks, this shoe features adiPRENE+ technology for responsive feel and has adidas’ signature stability claws in the forefoot. For those looking for a high performance shoe, check out the adidas Barricade 8 for $114.95 (and our review). This sleek black/green colorway has plenty of stability and support for even the most aggressive player. While the Barricade 8 has an adiWEAR 6 outsole for high durability, it also comes with a six-month outsole durability guarantee for extra protection.
